Nonabelian Hodge correspondence (NAHC) is a bridge connecting three geometric objects: Higgs bundles, connections and local systems. Simpson established the correspondence completely on smooth projective varieties in 1994. For quasi-projective varieties, there are two cases: tame and wild. For the wild case, Biquard-Boalch studied in the case of vector bundles on curves in 2004, and Mochizuki made huge progress on higher dimensional varieties in 2011. In this talk, I will discuss the wild nonabelian Hodge correspondence for principal G-bundles on curves, where G is a complex reductive group. This work is joint with P. Huang (in progress).
