The notion of equidistribution appears first in the ergodic theory meaning roughly that an orbit distributes evenly according certain smooth measure. It has various manifestations in in dynamical systems and geometry, etc. In this talk, we shall show how the phenomenon of equidistribution appears in the problem of closing lemma, minimal surfaces, etc.
