This mini-course offers a concise introduction to recent advances in the study of mean curvature flow with generic singularities. We will focus on the asymptotic expansion of the flow near cylindrical and its applications to understanding the global structure of the singular set. We will outline how these expansions provide refined descriptions of the flow’s behavior in neighborhoods of such singularities and discuss their role in characterizing the singularity formation over time.
