It is with profound sorrow that we have learned of the passing of our academic advisor, Prof. Dietmar A. Salamon of ETH Zurich, on November 4, 2025, at the age of 72, due to a sudden health condition. We extend our deepest condolences.
Prof. Salamon is widely regarded as one of the founders of modern symplectic topology and a pioneer in the development of Floer theory. Since the establishment of IGP, Prof. Salamon has served as a valuable academic advisor. With his foresight, rigorous scholarship, and dedicated efforts, he provided indispensable guidance and support to us. He was not only instrumental to our development, but also a solid bridge connecting us with the world's leading mathematical physics community. His contributions remain invaluable and unforgettable. His passing is deeply mourned by IGP and the global academic community.
Prof. Salamon's passing is a tremendous loss, not only to his family but also to our community of colleagues and friends.
